EoT.Hammer employs Jeyo for NSL grand final match

In a Facebook post made on EoT's page, EoT informed the community that Jio 'Jeyo' Madayag of Evil Geniuses will be replacing Sung Beum 'jum0ng' Jang to compete in the grand final of Nexon Sponsorship League Season 3. Jang is reported not to be able to compete due to family matters. Madayag was seen playing on Philippine cybercafes just a little over a month ago, as he had spent the holidays at his hometown.

The best-of-five grand final match will take place on February 15 at 05:00 CET. Both teams previously encountered one another in the winner bracket finals of the same tournament but it was the underdog EoT.Hammer who emerged victorious. Zephyr then went on to convincingly defeat 5inQ in the loser bracket final to set up the grudge match. There is no advantage given to team advancing from the upper bracket.

The winner of the match will be walking away with $57,000 worth of sponsorship which will be handed out to the team monthly over the next year.

With Sung out of the equation, the grand final of NSL Season 3 will only have one actual Korean playing in it. Pyeong 'Pyung' Kwang will be joined by four Filipino players (Madayag included) in their battle against Zephyr, the heavy favourite to win the tournament.

You can drop your bet for the match here.

Kevin 'Purge' Godec's reaction to the addition of Madayag:

Frankly it feels a little weird to me personally, but due to the circumstances(especially) they only had 4 players and they NEED a 5th to play, so it isn't really fair of us to question them needing a 5th.

LANs feel to me like you go in with your 5 and you stick with it, but this is frankly not possible in most cases(shit happens), and you shouldn't really be playing a tournament(that has a globally competitive prizepool) and not expect teams to pick up really good talent to compete.

Plus it happens ALL THE TIME in online tournaments spanning a few months.

So it feels kinda weird to me in my heart, but logically I know there is nothing wrong with it, and at the least it is going to result in our team practicing harder, which is a very good thing(temporarily and in the long run).
