Cloud 9 acquires Speed Gaming as their new Dota 2 Team

Cloud 9, the sponsors behind one of the top teams in the North American League of Legends scene, have announced the acquisition of a new Dota 2 roster to their organisation, consisting of the former members of Speed Gaming.

Cloud 9's addition of this roster is not surprising given EternalEnvy & co.'s results in recent times. From being MLG Champions to being invited to the G-League in China, they have been making waves across both scenes with their amazing and unconventional plays. From EternalEnvy's Blinkz to Aui_2000's split-pushing Visage, it is no wonder that they are crowd favourites, especially in the West.

Their addition to Cloud 9 will provide them with the stability that they sorely need following the Marco Fernandez fiasco. Marco Fernandez was the manager/CEO of the Speed Gaming organisation that abused his players and withheld their payment despite being only the middleman to the Chinese investor, while simultaneously playing the investor against them.

EternalEnvy & co.'s partnership with Cloud9 seems to suggest that they have decided to not continue playing in China with the Rattlesnake organisation. Hopefully Cloud 9 will be the organisation that will provide them with the stability to go further.

Cloud 9's roster:
Canada Jacky 'EternalEnvy' Mao
Canada Kurtis 'Aui_2000' Ling
Netherlands Wehsing 'SingSing' Yuen
Sweden Johan 'PieLieDie' Åström
Romania Pittner 'bOne7' Armand
