Hitbox.tv announced earlier that they will be hosting a monthly King of the Hill series with a $1000 prize pool. SpeedGaming and Fnatic are to participate in first match this Saturday, February 8th at 8 PM CET / 2 PM EST.
The series, entitled “Bounty Hunter,” is to be hosted on Hitbox.tv and casted by DOTA 2 streaming personalities Jorien "Sheever" van der Heijden and Sivatheeban "1437" Sivanathapillai. Once a month, the winner of the previous match will return to face a new challenger for the $1000 prize in a best-of-5. This matchup between Speed Gaming and Fnatic is the first time the teams have clashed since MLG Columbus last November--Fnatic won the game, but SpeedGaming went on to win the tournament. Since then, however, both teams have hit a bit of a dry spell, with poor performance plaguing Fnatic in Starladder Season VIII and SpeedGaming in G-League 2013.
Will Fnatic be able to take the cake this Saturday (20:00 CET, 2:00pm EST), or will SpeedGaming pull ahead and secure the first "Bounty Hunter" title?
The match was originially scheduled for January 31st but was postponed due to scheduling conflicts.
