Alliance tops Dream League groupstage; EG and VP eliminated

With Alliance's triple header and two Evil Geniuses matches played in secrecy to avoid another Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack, the groupstage of Dream League is over with Alliance topping the boards. Placing second in the group is Team Liquid, followed by Fnatic in third and Natus Vincere in fourth.

The fifth and sixth placers of the groupstage, Virtus.Pro (4-6) and Evil Geniuses, respectively will not be attending Dreamhack Winter later this year as they have been eliminated from the tournament.

For placing first in the groupstage, Alliance now has a choice on who they want to play first in the playoffs. Fnatic and Na`Vi are the two teams Alliance can choose from to go up against in the winner bracket semis. At the time of publish, it is unknown who Alliance will pick and we will have wait for further updates before relaying the information to you.

Dreamhack Winter 2013 will be the house to the playoffs of the Dream League. The three days event will run from the 28-30 November in Elmia Convention Center in Jönköping, Sweden. The playoffs will be played in the double elimination bracket format which is a first time for Dota 2 at Dreamhack, usually all Dreamhack related events have been single elimination.
