Alliance moves into WePlay WB final

Alliance earned their spot in the winner bracket final of WePlay Season Two last night after three tough games against Team Liquid. WePlay will continue today with Empire versus Na`Vi followed by the first round of the loser bracket.

Game one started out rocky for the Swedish squad as Team Liquid opted for an experimental 6.79 patch line-up consisting of Bounty Hunter, Tidehunter and Luna. Alliance stuck to their guns and played AdmiralBulldog's signature Nature's Prophet but things did not work out as planned. Liquid's high maneuverability made sure Alliance could not split push and slowly pulled ahead with Bounty Hunter tracking Alliance's heroes before they die for the extra gold.

Alliance bounced back in game two, sporting AdmiralBulldog on Doom to stop qojqva's Nature's Prophet from split-pushing and Tidehunter or Beastmaster from getting their ultimates off during teamfights. Game three saw Liquid picking up Lycanthrope but Alliance's Night Stalker and Juggernaut were almost too much for Team Liquid to dominate.

As a result, Alliance moved on to the winner bracket final while Team Liquid is now uncomfortably placed in the loser bracket, awaiting their next opponent.

WePlay Season Two playoffs will continue today with Na`Vi taking on Empire at 17:00 CEST and Team Liquid facing the loser of the aforementioned match at 20:00 CEST. Empire and Na`Vi recently played against one another in Techlabs Cup and Star Series VII and the runner-up of The International 3 successfully came out victorious in both. However, Na`Vi seems to have struggled with the 6.79 patch as of late and this will be Empire's best chance to take down the Ukrainians.
