Na`Vi takes home $8,000 in Techlabs Cup September after they defeat PowerRangers in two quick games. PowerRangers will have to settle for $5,000 for finishing second in the tournament.
After heavy delays and many miscommunications between the casters and the organizers, the Dota 2 event of Techlabs Cup September started at 17:00 CEST with Na`Vi versus Cascade.1xbet and PowerRangers versus dd.dota. However, only Na`Vi and Cascade.1xbet was streamed while PowerRangers and dd.dota played behind closed doors and there were no updates aside from dd.dota winning the first game and PowerRangers winning the next two.
In the streamed game however, Na`Vi, with Artur 'Goblak' Kostenko standing in, showcased a dominating performance against Cascade.1xbet and the Russian team eventually faltered under the immense pressure Na`Vi was exerting on their outer towers. The eventual champion of the tournament won both games in less than 40 minutes and moved into the grand final.
Unfortunately for PowerRangers, they could not repeat their great upset against Na`Vi in StarLadder as the Ukrainian team rolled over them without much of a hassle. With the win, Na`Vi walked away with $8,000 in cash prize while PowerRangers settled for $5,000 for finishing second. Considering Na`Vi had qualified for Techlabs main event prior to this tournament, we are still waiting on more confirmation by Techlabs if PowerRangers will be taking the slot instead.
It seems earlier information available through the Techlabs website was incorrect, and it is indeed Almet who take the third place 2:1 and claim the $2,000.
