Beating ESFX Power Rangers in the final, The European powerhouse booked their ticket to the main groupstage of EMS One Fall Season.
Fnatic.EU reminded us why they finished in the top 8 of The International 3 with a rock-solid performance in Cup #3 of the EMS One Fall Season. The Europeans had little trouble breezing through their competition, capping off with a 2-0 victory over ESFX Power Rangers in the final.
In game one, Fnatic.EU ran into some trouble in the early stages, falling behind 6-0 courtesy of the roaming duo Shadow Demon and Vengeful Spirit on the side of PR2. However, after Trixi's Bounty Hunter hit level 6, the game turned back into Fnatic's favor. They racked up track kills all over the map, utilizing Wisp's Relocate and the bonus movespeed Tether and Track. They quickly snowballed and forced the Belarusians to call GG at the 19th minute mark.
Game two saw a similar storyline as Fnatic fell behind in the early game but quickly regained their footing and took control of the mid-game thanks to some nice Magnus play by H4nn1. PR2 was again forced to tap out early as they called GG just 27 minutes into the game.
Along with $500 in prize money, winning Cup #3 gave Fnatic. EU a direct ticket to the main groupstage in October. They will be joined by Alliance (invited), Natus Vincere (invited), Mousesports (invited), Flipside.Quantic, and Empire. This leaves six remaining spots up for grabs in Cup #4. Let's take a look at the current standings.
