After four days of intense non-stop action in the Sina Cup Supernova Dota 2 Open, three chinese teams remain in the running for 27000 RMB in total cash prizes.
In the upper bracket, the newly minted line-ups of Invictus Gaming and LGD.cn have advanced to the winner bracket finals after defeating Ogurayui and Vici Gaming, and New Element and TongFu respectively. The winner of the upcoming match will guarantee themselves a second place finish in the tournament while the loser will have to face TongFu in the loser bracket final.
TongFu on the other hand, did not have the best time making the top three in Sina Cup. TongFu had some difficulty facing New Element's surprise Spiritbreaker pick but it was nothing the veterans couldn't overcome. They went on to face LGD in the WB semis and lost the match 2-1. In the dangerous best-of-one loser bracket, TongFu overcame Mineski, utilizing a level one Roshan strat, and fan favourite Vici Gaming to arrive at the loser bracket final.
The biggest disappointment of the tournament so far is undoubtedly Rattlesnake new line-up debut. The addition of Johnny 'Johnny' Lee and Zi Yang 'AllBeautyMustDie' Xu did not appease fans as they dropped out of the tournament not winning a single game.
So far in Sina Cup, there have been two level one Roshan kills, one by Ogurayui and one by TongFu. Game two between Vici Gaming and Rattlesnake is the best match to watch to date (VOD here).
