Chae from GOMTV talks international teams invite to upcoming Korean league

Mr Chae from GOMTV stated that they are planning to invite international teams to Korea for their upcoming league in which "the prize pool should not be the problem".

Rod 'Slasher' Breslau, Gamespot reporter, interviewed Mr. Chae, GOMTV Director of Esports, during The International 3 about his impression of Valve's annual event and also the upcoming tournaments GOMTV will be hosting in Korea.

In the 8 minutes long interview, Chae mentioned that they are working very closely with Nexon in hosting their next Dota 2  tournament. "We are planning to invite international teams to the Nexon League, especially Chinese teams because they are closer to Korea," said Chae. "Maybe they are worried about the period of the league and the prize pool but the prize pool is very very big. You will be rich."

When prompted on whether he is confident the international teams would come, Chae optimistically stated he hope they would come and he worries for Korean teams because they are nowhere near TI3 invitees at this point.

More details about Nexon's upcoming league will be released in a couple of weeks.

On the 13th of June, Nexon announced $1.77 million as their budget for tournament hosting in the upcoming year. They spent a small amount in July hosting the Nexon Starter League in which FXOpen, the only sponsored team in Korea at that time, took gold. They also won themselves tickets to The International 3.
