G-1 League contest winner gears arrived!

?

Good news for the three winners of the G-1 League raffle because your Gigabyte goodies have just arrived. The goodies above are for three lucky users (also hard-earned) who won our G-1 League raffle two months ago and we will make sure that they will be sent out to the winners swiftly.

  • Gigabyte Radeon 7850 2GB
  • Gigabyte Osmium Mechnanical Keyboard
  • Gigabyte Krypton Gaming Mouse

Gigabyte Radeon 7850 2GB

Before we send them away, we opened up the boxes to check if any of hardware were damaged on delivery and we are happy to inform you that they are not. With all the boxes unpacked and the graphics card plugged in, we thought to ourselves, why not make a test run of the graphics card as well?

The first game we booted up on our PC is Dota 2. The graphics card was able to run Dota 2 at 60 frames per second (FPS) with all the settings turned on and set to the highest.

-wtf mode and Invoker going batshit crazy. The frame rate dropped to about 40 fps but quickly bounced back to 60 when I stopped spamming.

I did alternative testing on other graphic intensive game and here are the results:

The Elder Scroll V:Skyrim: Constant 60 FPS on Ultra High.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3: 70-90 FPS on Ultra High.
Hitman Absolution: 45-60 FPS on Ultra High. Constant 60 at High.

After I'm done messing around, I plugged the graphics card out and plugged my personal Gigabyte Geforce 660 TI in and the first thing I noticed was, the "black colour" of the Geforce is not as prominent as Radeon's. However, the 660 TI is of a higher spec than the Radeon 7850 and would not suffer a lag problem with Invoker spamming Meteor and Hitman Absolution.

Both graphics card ran very quietly in the background and did not produce a lot of heat at high stress unlike my previous Radeon 6970 card. That one sound like a lawnmower when put under stress.

Gigabyte Osmium Mechanical Keyboard

After I'm done with the graphics card, I unboxed the biggest box of all, the Gigabyte Osmium Mechanical Keyboard and I immediately fell in love with it. It's got a red Cherry MX switch which means that it won't make too much of a noise when typed on and the linear feedback feels great. When plugged in, the keyboard will backlighting will be switched on and can be switched off easily whenever you need to.

Personally, I type a lot, writing articles for GosuGamers and I love this keyboard more than my current blue Cherry MX switch keyboard, which produces a lot of noise. I'm not too sure on how I should benchmark this but I immediately fired up my old O2Jam game and you can be assure that the anti-ghosting function work well. I am able to click on all seven keys at once without fail.

>> Superior CHERRY MX Mechanical Key-Switch
>> USB3.0 SuperSpeed extension port
>> Full-range anti-ghosting capability
>> Built-in GHOSTTM macro engine
>> Adjustable keyboard illumination

Gigabyte Krypton Gaming Mouse

Moving on to the Gigabyte Krypton Gaming Mouse, the mouse itself is pretty big and it will definitely fit users with big palm sizes. The 8,200 DPI is also great because if there is anything I love about a mouse, it is high sensitivity. You can switch the sensitivity of the mouse on-the-fly without tabbing out of your game and that is a big plus considering I play Dota 2 on high sensitivity while FPS games on slightly lower ones.

>> Advanced real 8200 DPI resolution laser sensor
>> Hot-swappable Mouse Chassis
>> Customizable center of gravity to fit your best hand balancer
>> Built-in GHOST™ macro engine, 70macros on the go

The prizes will be sent off by late this week and hopefully arrive at the winners' before The International 3.

Here are the winners
