Mousesports wins $12,000 after defeating Evil Geniuses to take gold in EMS One Summer. Fnatic and Infernity will settle for third and fourth placers prize worth $4,000.
As many could have expect (according to our Gosubets), Mousesports took the gold for EMS One Summer and $12,000 in cash prize after defeating Evil Geniuses in the grand finals 3-1.
EMS One had major setbacks prior to the offline finals with both RoX.KIS, Quantic Gaming and Alliance pulling out of the tournament just days before the event. The organizers of EMS One quickly pulled together some replacement teams and most of them lost to the favourites in the first round of the tournament. By the time the first day ended, only Fnatic, Infernity, Evil Geniuses and Mousesports remained in the tournament.
Mousesports faced Infernity in the semi-finals and took them down in two fairly quick games while EG qualified for the grand finals after defeating Fnatic in three games.
In the grand final, EG lost the first two games, both to qojqva's Lone Druid, but managed to bounce back in game three with the Spectre, Venomancer and Visage trilane. In the fourth game, EG could not hold their grounds against Beastmaster and Batrider which resulted in their second place finish in the tournament.
For placing second, EG will be flying back to America with $7,000 in their pocket. The third and fourth placers Fnatic and Infernity settled for $4,000 and the rest of the participating teams received $2,000.
EMS One Autumn season will most likely be back after The International 3.
