Fnatic wins Eizo Cup #5

The fifth edition of Eizo Cup has ended with Fnatic convincingly winning against Kaipi with 2-0 in the grand final. Taz "Fly" Aizik and co will share €1250 of the prize pool while Kaipi goes home with €500.

The two day long Eizo Cup #5 provided some interesing games despite the partial absense of top tier teams. Considered as some of the favourites each Fnatic and Kaipi unsurprisingly qualified for the grand final without a single game dropped throughout the bracket.

To make their way through to the grand final, Fnatic beat the winner of the previous tournament edition iCCup with 2-0. In the other semifinal Kaipi, who have won Eizo Cup #3, eliminated Typical Mistakes giving them the chance to become the first team with two Eizo Cup trophies.

In the first game of the grand final Fnatic used the proven combo of a Phantom Lancer + Keeper of the Light against Jacky "EternalEnvy" Mao's Anti-Mage. Having won the first blood, Fnatic dominated the whole game winning in a rather quickly fashion - only 26 minutes since the start.

Game two started more evenly as both teams were trading kills, hinting of promise for an interesting match. However similar to the first game, Fnatic got the upper hand and made better use of their opportunities, forcing the "gg" from Kaipi in 29 minutes.

Kaipi used Christoffer "Ryze" Winther as a stand-in during the grand finals as support player Alexandru "ComeWithMe" Craciunescu was not able to play.
