EMS One Summer’s Group A has come to a conclusion as Flip.Sid3 defeated Netolic.RU in 2-1 to secure the 2nd spot to Poland from the Losers Bracket. Mania and co. will now join Evil Geniuses, Quantic Gaming and Fnatic.eu on the list of teams qualified for the LAN finals.
Flip.Sid3 has performed decently throughout the groupstage, besting Netolic.RU in two straight games and managed to take a game from a strong Quantic led by Goblak. Despite being dropped down to the Losers Bracket very early on, Netolic.RU bounced back and rolled over Imaginary Gaming to set up a rematch with Flip.Sid3 to fight for a spot in the LAN finals. Unfortunately for the Russians, F.3’s experience was too much to overcome and the Danes defeat them again after an intense Bo3 and will now look to once again prove themselves on LAN in Poland.

Note that this will be the second time the Danish boys look to make an impact on EMS LAN finals, last time under the wings of Absolute Legends. Will they finish top 3 or will it be yet another fruitless effort of the veterans ?
As for Netolic.RU this is not the end of the road for them. They will have one last chance to qualify through a single-bracket elimination consist of 3rd-place finishers plus the 4th-placer with best record.
Tomorrow will see iNfernity, Rox.KiS and Keita battling it out for the 2nd spot to Poland of Group B. iNfernity and Keita won the BYOC qualifiers for Dreamhack Summer but were overwhelmed by the powerhouses, while Rox.Kis will look to recover from the betting scandal of their now-former player Solo. Expect great plays from all three teams as none of them can be said to have an upper-hand over the rest.
