Almost three weeks after its debut, CDEC officially launched the MidnightSnack Cup, a weekly best-of-three clash including eight CDEC stars and two upcoming talents. Every ten weeks, the most successful participants of the cups will recieve a grant prize as well.
CDEC. the big inhouse league that helped many of today's superstars get started, has announced its first weekly cup.
It has been three weeks since the community entered DotA 2, and it seems that they are aiming to find new talents as fast as they can.
The weekly cup, known by the name MidnightSnack Cup, will take place every Sunday until early November, starting today at 20:00 SGT, with the second season of CDEC being halfway over. The cups will be watchable via DotaTV, and Chinese streams. The English streams have yet to be announced.
Eight professional players and two upcoming talents will form squads, carefully selected by CDEC crew. The squads will play two best-of-one matches, with the winning team winning 1000RMB.
The newcomers in these cups will also compete for the title of the "Best newcomer" and the prize of 10000 RMB. The rest of the players will also be eligible for the title of the "Most consistent player" and the prize of 5000 RMB.
