Alliance wins Dreamhack Summer 2013 in style

Alliance pleases the home crowd yet again, taking down the title of Dreamhack Summer 2013 against Quantic Gaming. Alliance brings home a little more than $21,000 for placing first in the event.

It was an up and down journey for Alliance but at the end of the day, the Swedish boys took down Quantic in the grand final of Dreamhack Summer 2013 for the championship title. Alliance is now back to back in Dreamhack, winning Dreamhack Winter 2012 under team name NoTidehunter.

Alliance started the tournament in Group D, also known as the group of death, and in fact lost to their grand final opponent in their second match of the tournament. At the end of the groupstage, Alliance tied with Fnatic and Quantic in the group and the tie was settled by a time rating in which they were seeded number one. As a result, they faced Mousesports in the quarter-finals yesterday and was met despite losing their first game, they bounced back to take game two in a 70 minutes thriller.

Alliance started their semi-finals match against Dignitas today and was able to take down the last American hope without too much trouble.

With the win, Alliance will be bringing home over $21,000 in cash prizes while Quantic will settle for a little over $10,000 for their second place finish.
