Alliance pleases the home crowd yet again, taking down the title of Dreamhack Summer 2013 against Quantic Gaming. Alliance brings home a little more than $21,000 for placing first in the event.
It was an up and down journey for Alliance but at the end of the day, the Swedish boys took down Quantic in the grand final of Dreamhack Summer 2013 for the championship title. Alliance is now back to back in Dreamhack, winning Dreamhack Winter 2012 under team name NoTidehunter.
Alliance started the tournament in Group D, also known as the group of death, and in fact lost to their grand final opponent in their second match of the tournament. At the end of the groupstage, Alliance tied with Fnatic and Quantic in the group and the tie was settled by a time rating in which they were seeded number one. As a result, they faced Mousesports in the quarter-finals yesterday and was met despite losing their first game, they bounced back to take game two in a 70 minutes thriller.
Alliance started their semi-finals match against Dignitas today and was able to take down the last American hope without too much trouble.
With the win, Alliance will be bringing home over $21,000 in cash prizes while Quantic will settle for a little over $10,000 for their second place finish.

22:26 - Alliance takes down Roshan without resistance.
22:23 - Alliance pushes top lane and is successful in bringing down the tier-one and tier-two towers after team wiping Quantic. Alliance is on a 13-0 run.
22:21 - Quantic had enough and is now gathered on the top lane to push the tier-one and tier-two towers. Alliance destroys Quantic's tier one tower on the middle lane both the outer towers on the bottom lane.
22:17 - Despite having so many kills up, Quantic is farming a lot better with the top three farmer belonging to them. Alliance improves their kill lead to 8-0 with some effective rotations from Chen and Puck. Quantic have to stop dying if they want to make it into mid-game.
22:15 - The trilane is going out of control for Alliance. They pick up another two kills, extending their kill lead to 4-0.
22:14 - Alliance punishes Quantic's offensive trilane with a teleport in from the Nature's Prophet, allowing Alliance to kill not one but two heroes. Gyrocopter falls to the First Blood and Shadow Demon shortly after.
22:10 - Quantic picks up a very heavy mid-game fight line-up. Quantic smokes up immediately and Shadow Demon is able to disrupt the Io who is a little off position. EGM tethers away immediately.
22:00 - Game 3 is drafting.
21:42 - Alliance calls the gg as the Weaver got his Rampage, running amok in Alliance's base.
21:41 - Quantic takes down Alliance's final outer tower. Pushing into the base from the top lane now.
21:38 - 25 minutes into the game, Quantic is already diving the tier-four tower.
21:36 - Weaver is up to Linken Sphere and Manta Style. Quantic trades two for four of Alliance's. Quantic drops the Gem though. The kill score is now 20-9.
21:34 - Alliance is losing map control and their core heroes are constantly getting picked off. Quantic kills all three of the core heroes in the Dire jungle. Quantic takes down five of Alliance's outer towers.
21:32 - Quantic moves up and down the map taking down all the outer towers. Due to the tri-core line up, Alliance is unable to defend these pushes. Weaver with Living Armor dives four heroes and is able to kill three with the follow up from his teammates. Quantic moves into the Rosh pit and takes it down.
21:30 - Quantic destroys Alliance's middle tier-one tower.
21:28 - Alliance finally kills Weaver, trading Gyro for it. Batrider is close to Force Staff.
21:26 - Alliance baits Treant Protector, Batrider and Bane Elemental with their tier one tower and annihilate all three with a few teleports. Alliance loses the lead right after to the Weaver who charges into three but still comes out alive.
21:22 - Batrider picks up an eight minute Dagger. Shows it off to kill Gyrocopter and subsequently teleport mid to kill Templar Assassin.
21:19 - Quantic's Weaver picks up a Triple Kill. Firstly, he dives into the second tower for the Keeper of the Light. Weaver then teleports top to kill Gyrocopter and Disruptor. Living Armor is allowing Weaver to dive towers.
21:17 - With the help of the Bane, Batrider picks up the First Blood on Templar Assassin.
21:14 - Batrider is facing Templar Assassin on the mid lane and TA is not having the best time. Lich is soloing offlane. Bane teleports top lane to make sure Lich don't give away the First Blood.
21:09 - Alliance is going for a tri-core line up for this game. Lifestealer will abandon the offlane and jungle instead.
21:00 - Game two draft begins.
19:16 - Game will start at 20:30 CEST.
19:00 - The game is currently being moved to the grand stage of Dreamhack. There may be a slight delay.
18:48 - After losing another fight on the middle lane. Quantic pulls out the white flag and calls gg.
18:45 - Alliance takes down Roshan. Aegis given to Anti-Mage. Goblak dies for the seventh time now.
18:43 - Alliance continues their rampage against Quantic, killing the Puck utilizing the Lasso. The Dark Seer also dies to Nature's Prophet and Keeper of the Light.
18:39 - The Lifestealer infests into the Puck and start the fight on the middle lane. After killing Batrider, Shadow Demon and Keeper of the Light, the Mana Void and Wrath of Nature cleans up the rest of Quantic. It is a 4-3 trade in favour of Alliance.
18:37 - Quantic attempts Roshan and Keeper of the Light sacrifices his life to slow down the takedown. Nature's Prophet's Wrath of Nature stops Rosh attempt by Quantic. Roshan is on half hp.
18:35 - Mekansm is up on the Dark Seer. Quantic pushes bot immediately and after killing Batrider and Shadow Demon, they push tier one tower on the bottom lane. Alliance responds by taking down the tier one on the middle lane.
18:32 - Alliance jumps Lich but Quantic's help comes quickly. Quantic takes the effort of three heroes to kill the Shadow Demon and one teleport from Nature's Prophet later, the Swedes killed three of Quantic. Right after that, Nature's Prophet teleported mid to kill the Puck with the help of the Batrider.
18:28 - Alliance nearly burst Gyrocopter down with the Disrupt to Illuminate to Wrath of Nature combo. He escapes with 80 hp.
18:25 - Lich and Lifestealer's overaggression caused their own death on the bottom lane. EGM picks up the double kill. Alliance and Quantic heroes start pouring onto the bottom lane and a huge fight breaks out. The 5v4 situation ended up well for Alliance. The kill score is now up to 5-3.
18:21 - Quantic is running Lich and Dark Seer on the safe lane and Lifestealer, Gyrocopter on the off-lane. Knowing that they could win the lane, Alliance dives Quantic and pays for it with the death of the Shadow Demon. Anti-Mage teleports bottom. Lich also teleports bottom to disrupt Anti-Mage.
18:08 - Draft ongoing
16:11 - Dignitas finally calls the gg after losing yet another skirmish. Alliance will face Quantic in the grand final of DHS`13.
16:09 - Alliance picks off Lone Druid for the second time and now Dignitas is not able to defend their barracks properly.
16:06 - Alliance picks off Lone Druid and they are now moving up Dignitas' high ground. Many buybacks later, Dignitas defended their barracks.
16:02 - Alliance is pushing high ground but backs off at about 10% tower hp remaining.
16:00 - Dignitas attempts Roshan with high resistance from Alliance. Templar Assassin picks up the Aegis but a nicely place Cogs by the Clockwerk turns the tide around for Alliance. Alliance wipes all five of Dignitas in that skirmish.
15:57 - Dignitas engages on Alliance but they are unable to kill Windrunner. Instead, Windrunner runs off with Juggernaut chasing her. Juggernaut tries to Omnislash her but due to an unlucky bounce, the bow wielder live.
15:54 - Alliance three-man ganks Templar Assassin and although it is slightly delayed because they have no detection, the Cog pushes the Templar Assassin out of invisibility. The Swedes also kill the Spirit Bear for 300 gold.
15:52 - Alliance puts themselves on the board by killing Lone Druid and Rubick. Alliance backs off before taking down the tower.
15:48 - Leshrac and Rubick helps Templar Assassin to kill Clockwerk. At the same time, Lifestealer takes down bottom tier one tower. Alliance's overaggression causes the death of Chen. Lifestealer gets send back to base by the Chen prior to him dying.
15:46 - Dignitas smoke gank is successful in killing Nature Prophet. Juggernaut picks up the First Blood.
15:42 - Lone Druid abandons the offlane. Lifestealer is getting free farm.
15:40 - Dignitas smokes up but Clockwerk spotted the level one smoke. Both teams retreats after a Cog is set up.
19:22 - Game 2 drafting now.
15:07 - Dignitas allows Alliance to take down their bottom barracks. Dignitas tries to fight Alliance after the barracks went down but it is to no avail. Alliance takes game one.
15:06 - Alliance takes down Roshan.
15:02 - Alliance picks off Enchantress and Batrider but both the heroes buys back. Dignitas tries to defend their barracks outside their base but Phantom Lancer and Lifestealer is too big at this point to lose a battle. Dignitas' top barracks go down.
14:59 - Alliance takes down the middle melee barracks. Dignitas did not defend their barracks but tried to split push instead.
14:57 - The kill score is now 17-5 in favour of Alliance. Alliance also has 12,000 gold lead and 25,000 experience lead.
14:54 - Alliance goes into the Rosh pit after killing three of Dignitas in the Radiant jungle. Weaver went down because it ran out of mana to Shukuchi.
14:50 - Alliance is now fully utilizing the capability of the Puck bomb. Alliance kills the Jakiro and the Enchantress right in front of their tier-two tower.
14:45 - Alliance picks off Batrider and Jakiro. Weaver who is backdooring the tower got his tower denied and Alliance is able to silence and kill the ant. A few minutes later, S4 denied his third tower.
14:42 - Puck shows off his newly acquired Dagger by pulling off a four-man Dream Coil and silences all four heroes. Alliance turns around the fight without Rubick who dies before the battle.
14:41 - Batrider is baiting Alliance for about two minutes now. The Swedes are not taking the bait. Puck got his Blink Dagger.
14:36 - Naga Siren picks up Radiance at 13:30. According to Bruno, it's the fastest ever Radiance purchase by 13 seconds.
14:33 - Naga Siren picks up Sacred Relic. Fight breaks out in the Dire jungle via a smoke gank and Alliance is able to counter-gank and kill Batrider and Jakiro without any casualty. Lifestealer manages to infest into a creep before he dies to the incoming Impetus.
14:31 - Batrider shows off his Blink Dagger for the first time but Puck is able to Phase Shift just a split second from the Lasso click. Puck drops the Dream Coil and Batrider and Weaver is driven back.
14:26 - Both teams traded their safe lane tier one tower. Puck drops to Weaver for the First Blood. Puck dies a second time solo to Weaver on the mid lane.
14:22 - AdmiralBulldog abandons the offlane and is currently jungling. Batrider is also jungling.
14:21 - Puck nearly goes down to Akke's Harpy Chain Lightning but Rubick's Telekinesis saved him from First Blood.
14:20 - Draft is done
14:07 - Game one is drafting
13:16 - EG's retreat from Quantic's side of the base allows Viper to catch up with Bane Elemental and forces EG to fight. Mirana and Shadow Demon purges both of the Golems and plows through EG in the fight. Quantic runs straight into EG's base and forces the gg out of EG.
13:13 - EG smokes into Quantic but Quantic is well prepared for it. Viper ends up with an Ultra Kill while Weaver scrambles back to base.
13:09 - As EG respawns, they walk into the Rosh pit but Quantic spots them out. Viper leads the charge into the Rosh pit resulting in Vengeful Spirit using his Swap to save Gyrocopter. Elune Arrow hits Warlock and Quantic is able to take down Warlock. Quantic takes down Roshan after that. Mirana picks up the Aegis.
13:06 - EG tries to engage Quantic out of the tower range but Quantic always backs off just in time. EG pushes into the bottom tier two tower but Warlock got pick off so quickly that EG was unable to react to the overwhelming damage from the Gyrocopter.
13:03 - Quantic trades Viper for Gyrocopter.
13:00 - Vengeful Spirit is putting on a clinique, swapping his teammate out twice now from the Batrider Lasso.
12:58 - EG is now pushing as five. Heading towards the bottom lane.
12:55 - Viper and Shadow Demon engages on Warlock for the second time and since it takes so long to burst down the Warlock, the rest of EG arrives and kills Shadow Demon. Vengeful Spirit swaps Viper but the stun does not connect due to Moonlight Shadow. The kill score is now 6-4 in favour of EG.
12:50 - Batrider nearly dies from diving the Warlock (4 Napalm stacks) after Warlock drops the Golem and Weaver teleports in. Vengeful is able to stun the Batrider as he is about to teleport away but Shadow Demon disrupts the Vengeful just in time for Batrider to get away.
12:46 - Viper is suffering big time against Vengeful Spirit and Weaver. Gyrocopter and Bane is also suffering but he is farming the ancient stacks. Bane has been stacking since the first minute.
12:42 - EG is running a dual lane of Weaver and Vengeful Spirit on the top lane. They are able to kill Viper after Viper walks into the jungle, where the Vengeful is at.
12:37 - Quantic picks up the Viper again. EG smokes early and they are able to pick up the First Blood on the Treant Protector as they intercept the bottom lane.
12:32 - Game 2 is starting.
12:12 - EG calls gg and Quantic takes game one.
12:11 - Quantic takes the middle barracks without any retaliation. EG smokes into the Dire jungle while Quantic is retreating and although they are able to scatter Quantic, Quantic outlast the Americans and takes the fight. Quantic is now pushing the top lane.
12:08 - Lifestealer goes to work on all of EG almost single-handedly. Outworld Devourer joins the battle after taking down the third Roshan and blows everybody up.
12:06 - EG finds Chen wandering in the jungle but the Sanity Eclipse from Outworld Devourer turns the battle around. Quantic is able to kill four of EG heroes.
12:01 - Quantic pushes mid but EG is able to kill Outworld Devourer as he is retreating. At the same time, Broodmother push the top lane and nearly takes down the tier three tower on the top lane. EG throws away their small lead, pushing into Quantic's base with Outworld Devourer out.
11:58 - Roshan respawns. Quantic kills Roshan but Demon steals the Aegis. He pays for it with his own life though. Chen also picks up the Aghanim's Scepter.
11:53 - EG is now overextending into the Dire jungle and paid heavily for it. Fear's teleport to the middle tower is also wrongly placed and that gave Quantic another pick off. Quantic takes the tier two tower on the middle lane.
11:51 - A big fight breaks out on the top lane and despite getting off to a good start, Quantic waited a little too long and EG buybacks made sure that EG even the fight.
11:50 - Rubick buys Dagger. EG is only up by 1,500 gold at the moment.
11:45 - After winning a fight in the Radiant jungle, Quantic moves into the Rosh pit and takes down Roshan. The Aegis is given to Outworld Devourer. Meanwhile, Broodmother takes down the tier two tower on the top lane.
11:43 - Templar Assassin and Rubick push the bottom lane but a smoke gank from Chen, Bane and Puck is able to stop the push and kill Rubick in the process. Lifestealer is suffering against Broodmother on the top lane.
11:39 - Broodmother nearly kills Lifestealer again and Silent narrowly escapes death by Raging just as the Illuminate is about to hit him. Chen sends the Lifestealer back to base.
11:37 - Keeper of the Light and Rubick rotates to the top lane and is helping Broodmother to push down the tower. A quick Illuminate and Spawn Spiderling instant burst down Lifestealer. Chen escapes on 50 hp while the Spiderlings chase after him.
11:33 - EG is running Lone Druid on the mid lane against Outworld Devourer because Lone Druid don't need any mana in the laning phase. Bane sleeps Broodmother again but Bamboe wakes himself up using his Spiderlings.
11:32 - Lifestealer draws the First Blood on Broodmother. Bane starts with the sleep and with the help of the Wildkin from Chen, Broodmother isn't going anywhere/

11:18 - We have been told that Quantic will receive -50 seconds for ban time in this game. According to Tjernobylbarnet, "Quantic arrived a bit late, and refused to sit where admins told them to sit".
