German team mousesports is on a roll and they make use of their momentum to take the win of yet another EMS One Summer Cup. The 2-1 win over Quantic Gaming secures the team a spot for the group stage.
Mousesports take their second EMS One Summer Cup and is currently leading the table with 250 points. The team is now safe to enter the group stage and could technically not sign up for the next cup.
Quantic Gaming, formerly known as dd.Dota, on the other hand has made their first appearance in the Summer series of the EMS One tournament, but their participation in the finals of cup #3 earned them 75 points, which should suffice in order to advance.
The Summer series so far has not drawn a lot of attention, as big names such as Na'Vi or Alliance have been missing out for the first two rounds and Fnatic.eu did not deliver proper results. Na'Vi could technically still qualify for the group stage but it is unlikely as the LAN schedule coincides with their travel plans to China. Alliance however did participate now, but the Swedes got eliminated in round two, leaving them with 10 points. They will have to acquire at least 25 points in cup #4 to have a chance at qualifying for the group stage, whereas Fnatic.eu should be safe as long as they participate.
The fourth and final cup is scheduled for next week on Tuesday, 11th June. The 12 best teams after next week will be playing in a best-of-three GSL-formatted group stage with three groups of four. The best two teams of each group will be invited to the LAN finals, joined by the two winners of the NA qualifiers.
