Quantic Gaming returns to the Dota 2 scene and picks up the mainly French roster of dd.Dota.
DD.Dota has found themselves a new sponsor in Quantic Gaming. The squad consisting of three French and two Russian players has acquired a sponsorship a few months before attending the most prestigous Dota 2 event, The International 3.
Statement by Quantic Gaming:
"Quantic Gaming is ecstatic to welcome one of Dota's well known Teams, DD.Dota, to the talent pool of Quantic Gaming. We plan to use all resources available to market and give you the greatest Dota 2 content available."
Quantic Gaming had a long run in 2012, where the organization had a total of two teams, both with ups and downs. The first team was an all Danish squad that was on a roll for quite some time, giving Na'Vi quite a run for their money in the first The Defense finals. The team eventually left their sponsor. Later on, the organization picked up a group of talented North-American players, like current Liquid player Steven 'Korok' Ashworth, LGD.int player Braxton 'Brax' Paulson and Josh 'PAINTITGOLD' Amos. The team eventually fell apart after The International 2.
The organization attempted to come back a few weeks ago already, but it turned out to be a big scandal as the captain of the team they attempted to sign was caught forging a player's signature.
DD.Dota has been in the scene as a brand for quite some time, most of which with an almost all Danish roster and the likes of Link, Calculus and Ryze. The team was rumored to be picked up by Curse Entertainment, but with the acquisition of a completely new roster, those rumors diminished. The three former mTw players added former Team Empire players Goblak and Silent with who they qualified for the wildcard match in Seattle.
