The Eizo Cup came to an end earlier today with Kaipi defeating Absolute Legends in the grand final with a score of 2–0.
The tournament started out with 16 teams competing in the first round, with only eight teams proceeding to the next round. Kaipi was the first finalist of the grand finals after sweeping NEXT.kz 2-0. Absolute Legends, who won against Artyk Gaming with a score of 2-1 earlier today, joined Kaipi in the grand final.
The first game of the grand finals was a drawn out affair with both teams allowing their carries to farm up. However, Absolute Legends was unable to handle the powerful KOTL+PL combo and was eventually out-carried by EternalEnvy’s superb Phantom Lancer play.
While the first game had conventional picks, in the second game the conventional play style was thrown out the window with the Zeus-pick by Kaipi and Warlock by Absolute Legends. Kaipi played very convincingly with their unconventional lineup and after teamwiping Absolute Legends they forced them to call gg at the 16-minute mark.
With the win secured, Kaipi receives the prize pool of €1250 while Absolute Legends will take home €500.
