RDM's captain Troels 'syndereN' Nielsen gave the following statement.

We have decided to disband Re-defining Madness. This is mainly because of a lack of feeling of any sort of progress. Bluntly put, we haven't really improved since the creation of the team—we’ve tried multiple things and it just didn’t work out. It's a damn shame, because I really like the guys and we had high hopes when creating the team, but there's only so long you can continue playing and maintaining the hope on a competitive level when the feeling of progress or reward is absent or very rare. The disbandment comes with no hard feelings from anyone; it's simply time for something new. Most, if not all, of the players of the team are still interested in playing competitively, and I wish everyone the best of luck with finding a team in which they can be more successful than this one.

When the squad was created around syndereN, the team was still playing for the German organization mTw. Due to financial issues, mTw was not able to send their Dota 2 team to DreamHack Winter and shut down shortly after this, leaving the five players without a sponsor.

The teams' performance has not been the best lately; RDM dropped out of joinDOTA's The Defense after scoring 3-4 in the group stage and lost five out of five matches in the D2L League. Even though they finished 3th/4th in the recently played EMS Cup#2, the team decided to part ways.

Former Re-Defining Madness' roster:

Denmark Troels 'syndereN' Nielsen
Sweden Sebastian 'Matrim' Sundström
Slovakia Michal 'Tulex' Zima
Slovakia Martin 'Warlog' Zima
Netherlands Hugo 'Dutch_Freak' Bos
