2009: 'Na`Vi, Zenith, iG and LGD will do well at The International'
As an 'emblematic figure within the DotA community', Wu '2009' Sheng is no stranger to the competitive scene. He has done it all, from playing professionally to coaching to commentating. It's Gosu talks to the Chinese personality regarding his career, his views on the scene, and more.
The extensive interview covered most of his professional career playing for teams such as EHOME, FTD and LGD.sGty - and when asked to pick his dream team, he could not have assembled a more diverse force.
"If I have to pick players, I would pick: LongDD during the second half of 2007, 820 during mid 2009, BurNIng from 2010, YYF from first half of 2011 and YapehtS from mid 2010."
While anticipating his return to the scene may have been on his fans' minds, he had to disappoint, saying: 'I don’t think I will play Dota 2 competitively.'
2009 also had nothing but praise for current Na`Vi captain and his former KS.int teammate Puppey, saying: 'His Chen should be written in DotA's history.' Reminiscing about how last year's Na`Vi would compare to their performance in Seattle later this month, 2009 related the importance of the drafts and how the two captains differed and whether Darer stood a shot this year with Artstyle.
"Puppey and I were teammates. I know how good of a strategist he is. At the same time, I watched ArtStyles' games. They both are very excellent captains. Puppey may ban and pick with some random thoughts while ArtStyle might have faith with certain heroes. Puppey’s teammates are more powerful than ArtStyle's at the moment."
