Zenith surpassed LGD to win $750 USD at IGMMA
It's Gosu Monthly Madness has come to an end with the elite Singaporean team, Zenith declared as the champions. With a 3-0 win over LGD, Zenith was able to power out the dynamic Chinese team. Zenith took home a cash prize of $750 USD as the victors. LGD didn't leave empty handed, as their exceptional performance bought them to a cash prize of $250 USD as runner-ups.
This season of It's Gosu Monthly Madness Asia showcased 16 professional Asian teams. Some of them included: Absolute Legends, iG, EHOME, Orange, DK, Aeon, MITH, and more. The competition that both LGD and Zenith had to face to get to the finals were fierce.
LGD had to face Harrosh in the Round of 16, and favorites EHOME in the Quarter-finals. Nonetheless, the challenges started getting harder and harder for LGD, as they went against another favorites iG, before finally reaching the finals to face Zenith. LGD had a 2-0 score on their Round of 16, and Quarter-finals. But that record was stopped when iG defeated LGD in one game of the three games.
The road for Zenith saw them facing fellow Singaporean team, Aeon, and then going against World Elite in the Quarter-finals, and Orange in the semi-finals. Similar to LGD, Zenith had only lost one game in this season, and that was in the Quarterfinals against WE.
Nevertheless, a tough journey was completed by Zenith, and with the International just around the corner, has Zenith solidified themselves as a serious contender?
