Dota 2 and SC2 confirmed as WCG games

World Cyber Games Europe have confirmed Dota 2 and Starcraft 2 as official titles. Both games will be played at the WCG Germany national finals and the Samsung European Encounter at gamescom.

This year's gamescom will feature Dota 2 and Starcraft 2 at World Cyber Games' tournaments. Although not yet announced as titles for the WCG grand final later this year in Kunshan, China, both games will be included at least at the WCG Germany national finals and the Samsung European Encounter.

WCG Europe, the organization behind WCG Germany and the European Championship tournaments of WCG, has now announced both events for the exhibition gamescom in Cologne.

SEE with $10,000 for SC2, Dota 2 and FIFA combined
The German national final will be played on Thursday, August 16 . The Samsung European Encounter will be played from Friday, August 17 to Sunday, August 19. Prize money of $10,000 USD in total will be distributed among the games of SEE.

As the winners of the national final are both qualified for WCG grand final and the European Encounter, it can be assumed that StarCraft 2 and Dota 2 will also be announced as official games of the grand Final.
