GosuLeague brought us more than what we bargained for - the month of May proved to be an exciting month for our GosuLeague contenders and it is with great pride and honor that we announce the winners for our premier season. And it looks like it was team Sweden all the way.

Infused are your champions - captain Wagamama speaks up.

It was a closely fought victory between our top two finishers Infused and Keita - both teams ended high with 10 points, but the former's 2-0 victory in their head-on clash meant that Infused had the upper hand.

GosuGamers spoke with team captain Wagamama following his team's victory:

Niklas 'Wagamama' Högström

-"It feels really nice to claim first place! I imagine all of the teams visioned themselves winning the league as it started out. We just tried to focus on one game at a time because we knew we had what it takes to beat any opponent if we play our A-game."

On Keita and team Sweden

-"I think Sweden is definitely improving more and more, we feel we´ve had really good results lately and Keita is definitely not a team to underestimate either. I'm familiar with some of the players from Keita and they are a really nice bunch! I think if things turn out well for us, we could see a big Swedish upset at Dreamhack Summer 2012.

Keita surprised me the most as they consistently produced good results. For example they were the only team to beat It's Gosu before they forfeited their spot in this league."

On DTS and It'sGosu's replacements

-"I think Wolves, Darer and VP have a lot prove right now so they should be hungry for the free spots. mTw look pretty strong recently especially from what I saw at the very recent GDstudio event. It's gonna be interesting to see which teams will be joining us."

Any shoutouts?

-"First off, big thanks to our sponsors over at www.team-infused.net for the gear and the support! Also, thanks to all who follow and support us, you will be seeing more of us soon guys! Lastly, shoutout to my boss at work, Decibel!

Please support us at Infused's official site, Facebook page, and our team's Facebook page as well."

Their last victory against Mousesports gave them just enough to take home the crown and a cool $750 in cash. Catch the winning moment live in our VoDs of Game 1 and Game 2.

Tournament favorites Moscow Five will have to be contented with a third placing after their Swedish competitors walked away with the better end of the draw. The Russian team took more draws than they could afford to finish a close third with 9 points.

We hope you are ready for Season 2, because it is just around the corner and GosuGamers will be there to bring you all the action live - this time, with a amped up prizepool of $3,500.

ex-DTS and Darer will play for DTS' spot in the league, while the loser of that match-up will still stand a chance to replace ItsGosu in a qualifier with Wolves, mTw and Virtus Pro.

First blood has been spilt, are you ready for the next level?
