The Premier League: Week 3

Posted by Dexter "kurtcos" F 4 months ago

We are almost a quarter of the way through in The Premier League, sponsored by TwitchTV in collaboration with DotACommentaries.

Teams such as SK and xP took the stage this week with convincing victories over their opponents and their subsequent movement up the table rankings. The former, especially, should be applauded for their side victories over two German powerhouses, Panzer and J4T, in another tournament, The Defense.

With two matches of week 3 still unplayed, it will be hard to predict how it will look like after the current week of matches are played, but Na`Vi look strong to top it again.

Meanwhile, the four Asian teams occupy the bottom four positions of the table, with Mineski disappointingly coming out last after three rounds with three consecutive losses. MYM take their third straight draw after last week's 1-1 scoreline against Fnatic.MSI.

If past rounds are any indication, this week's scheduled matches may be postponed or brought forward depending on the teams' availability. Four teams, including Na`Vi, are still behind on one match and whether or not we will see them played this week will surely affect the outcome of the rankings heavily.

Stay tuned next week for yet another update!

MYM just kept the consistency in the league with a loss in the first game and a win in the second one. Let's hope they are able to pick up a 2 straight-win in the next game against Nirvana.MSI. Looks like the Asians are set to battle it out in this weeks schedule, with Mineski ready to take on WE. Mineski will take this game like no problem, as they have more experience in the Dota 2 scene than WE. GLHF to all teams!

Asian's top team still on Dota wc3.

the chinese team itself has their own League.

that's why hard to set scrim with other top team, against europe the Timezone problem (for competition its another story)

Why does xp with 5 Swedish players have an European flag but EG with two Americans and 3 Danes have a US flag?

it simply tells that team standings ... lag is the main reason for the asian to be in bottom 4, everbody knows asian internet connection is poor compare to europe. hope more lan events inviting all teams all over the world such as dk, navi and n9 maybe international 2?

#18 quit complaining.
I used to watch wc3 tournaments back in the old days.

Old star sky used to tell new players that if you want to play international, you geta suck up to the latency. To my surprise less complaining=better performance.

most boring tournament ever.

Placing matches the same days as other tournaments who have announced dates weeks ago, is so unprofessional.

#18 i always play on USW, USE, and Europe...
even though its lagging, but still playable for me...

stop use that excuse, the Old XcN (ritter cs) went to singapore just to play on netcafe when they were playing on MYM-PDL...

#25 It's definitely playable, but on a prolevel, do you think being 'playable' is enough? o.O I'm not saying that's the only reason why they are at the bottom though, it's just that it's a pretty big factor.

@27 + 1

@ 19 what im trying to say is everybody wants to watch a tournament in lan, because of no fvcking lag issue... there you can conclude whose the best team, just like wdc, smm, international...make sense?

@25 you should read the comment of @27 thats all,

We're the 1%! Occupy bottom four!

#4 True that, and they are not outpicked, it's just that they kept picking weird heroes like Akasha to counter Brood when there are alternatives like Tide or Sand King.

Isn't it obvious? EU>Asia in Dota 2... Europe are now on dota 2 while asian team still plays dota 1 thus European team has adopted dota 2 evironment... and EU>SEA in connection... Lag issue... If it's LAN tourney then asian team has a bigger chance

Dont bash the admins pls, they are doing quite nicely, its very hard to get everything perfect. You can obviously see they are trying hard.

You should specially restrain from negative comments if you are associated with another organisation.

I heard there's so much lag with the Asians in this tourney?
