The Premier League: Week 2

Posted by Dexter "kurtcos" F 4 months ago

Two rounds have already been played between ten of the world's best Dota 2 teams at The Premier League, sponsored by TwitchTV in collaboration with DotACommentaries.

China WE 0-1-1            1

China Nirvana.MSI 0-0-2            0

There were clear victories this week as the Chinese once again fell to the European teams 2-0 in the case of WE and Nirvana.cn. Meanwhile, Experience, a Swedish team comprising Loda, Miracle and Pajkatt, replaced 10.000th (see) although no reasons were offered for the latter's departure from the tournament.

As Dignitas had to replay their match against xP (who later won), the Romanian team are now 1-1 after their win against WE this week. On the other hand, Mineski's week two match against xP and week three match against SK have both been postponed to the 18th of January, when a resolution to the wrap-up of round two matches will be met.

Na`Vi stand strong after edging out Fnatic.MSI from their shared first place in a strong 2-0 win over the latter. They are now the only team without a loss or draw on the table, and they are certainly looking to continue their streak as we look towards week 3.

Will Na`Vi go on a killing spree this week by taking out their third victory at the Premier League or will Chinese team WE be able to pull off a surprise? Meanwhile, expect a huge shift in the table rankings as xP and Mineski both play out two matches during the week.

Stay tuned next week for yet another update!

Seems like Na'Vi got the easiest match ups so far. Not facing teams like EG, xP, Dignitas or even MYM. CN teams have shown that they are not ready for Dota 2 yet.

I honestly think that only xP can put on pressure to Na'Vi in the league, however teams like EG or Dignitas is still capable of crushing Na'Vi. MYM, Mineski and SK might improve themselves as the games progresses. Whereas the Chinese teams, they are very unlikely to make an impact though, as they are still stuck with Dota 1.

Sk impressed yesterday aswell. If they focus on training with MaNia they easily can reach top 3 again !
For now i guess it all comes down to NaVi and EG's lineup.

Wow XP vs EG is like SK vs MYM in the old days. Loda vs Maelk. one of the best rivalries in dota.
