The sixth edition of the monthly online tournament ProDota Cup has crowned its European and NA Champions.
Of the sixteen European teams involved at the start of the competition, the new Serbian project involving four ex players from mYinsanity, including Milan 'MiLAN' Kozomara and Damir 'Mitch' Škari?i?, Spider Pigzs had one of the most impressive runs, reaching the Grand Finals from the upper bracket. They swept through Prodota, Pries and BroodMother5, as well as defeating FlipSid3 Tactics twice.
With their return to the scene still fresh after FlipSid3 tactics acquired !Rebels only a week ago, FS3 did not have the sort of luck they'd have wanted. Unfortunately for them, the first tournament they participated in saw them face a very eager Serbian team and get knocked down in the upper bracket finals before bring crushed 3-0 score in the best of five Grand Finals by Spider Pigzs.
There were only eight participating teams in the American competition and Shazam had a very smooth path to the Grand Finals, where they fought against Dragon Slayers (Dragneel). Michael 'ixmike88' Ghannam’s squad, Team Freedom, were pushed into the lower bracket in the first round of the bracket by T Show and were really close to make the Grand Finals but lost the lower bracket finals against Dragneel with a 1-2 final score.
Dragneel, on the other hand had a very good start but lost twice against Shazam and will take home only $1,000 in prize money for finishing on the second place.
