The Philippines dominate GosuCup SEA #4, taking three of the top four spots

Kambras banked the lion’s share of the $500, prevailing over Indonesian newcomer Krycekid.

The Philippines have always been a strong region in Southeast Asia. The country held the top spot in the nation standings last week, tied with South Korea and Vietnam, but this week they blew them all out of the water. With three players in the top four, the Filipino players not only collected $350 out of the total $500 prize pool as well as five of the seven HCT points, but also decisively occupied the throne of the nation standings.

Veteran player Kambra, a.k.a. Adik placed first, defeating Indonesian Krycekid after five games. Kambras’ way to the trophy included victories over many respectable names in the community, Zadkiel, Nexok and Caracute among the few.

Third came former GosuGamers editor and now a player and deckbuilder for Complexity SylvanHunter. She prevailed over fellow female competitor Caracute in the bronze final and will take home $50.

The registrations for GosuCup SEA #5 are now open, so make sure to sign up and compete for $500 and 7 HCT points this Sunday, April 3.
