Dota Pit #4: coL pack their bags...for Croatia

Complexity Gaming has qualified for the Dota Pit League #4's LAN finals through the American qualifiers. They will be flying to Croatia in March for the event.

A 2-0 would have meant one more game for coL, anything less would mean coL's qualification. Much to coL's relief, the match between Digital Chaos and Elite Wolves ended with a 1-1 score, dashing hopes of DC qualifying for the LAN event through a tie-breaker with coL.

With the victory of coL in the American qualifiers, they are the second team - the first team being MVP.P, the winner of the SEA qualifiers - to have recieved an invite for the LAN event to be hosted in Split, Croatia on the 19th of March. In this event lasting two days, coL will play with seven other teams in a double elimination bracket for their chance at a larger stake in the $100,000 prize pool.

DC nearly forced out the tie-breaker after their win in the first game between them and E.Wolves. However, E.Wolves were able to pull a comeback and win the second game, ending the series 1-1. In game one, DC decided to play a strong mid-game line up against E.Wolves's carry Morphling; picking up an Ursa and Chen, DC was able to quickly subdue E.Wolves's DP and Kunka and won the game.

In the second game, both teams decided to draft a strong ganking line-up. E.Wolves picked up a Bara and Batrider whilst DC picked up a Clockwerk and Night Stalker. In the mid-game, E.Wolves was able to find much more pick-offs than DC and was able to stop the pushing prowess of DC's Lone Durid, this quickly evolved into E.Wolves snowballing and winning the game.
