DK walk away with $80,000 at The International

DK are defeated at the hands of Chinese compatriots iG. It took the latter the full three games in the best of three match up to make their way to the consolation finals where they will face the loser of LGD and Na`Vi.

While iG was able to win the solo lanes at bot and mid, DK responded by crushing top lane where an aggressive triple lane of Tidehunter, Crystal Maiden and Anti Mage made sure Chaos Knight and Shadow Demon was picked off a couple of times in the early game.

Ravages by Tidehunter were able to win the fights for DK as iG had no response besides Queen of Pain's Sonic Wave and an early Black King Bar on Morphling to get them a few kills during those fights. From the mid game onwards, it was Burning's Anti Mage all the way as DK was eventually able to end the game at 37 minutes with a 20,000 gold lead.

The aggressive triple lane worked out for iG this game and Zhou was able to get an early Radiance on his Lone Druid with smart Smoke ganks by iG picking off Morphling and Invoker early on and hampering their farm. Meanwhile, buybacks from iG saved them from many of the mid game teamfights with Enigma's Black Holes catching off Morphling.

The game was all but over with the entire DK squad not doing well in terms of experience and gold except Morphling. All it took was a calculated siege into DK's base with the use of two Aegis' for iG to eventually claim the win in the second game.

The roaming combination of Tidehunter and Enchantress paid off incredibly well for iG, as they were able to pick off Windrunner a couple of times at the bottom lane and Invoker at the mid lane. With their early lead, Burning was unable to get towers while iG went across the map picking off heroes without much of a contest.

The gold and experience lead was 7,000 for iG at 15 minutes while DK was at a 2-12 deficit. It was all about the former ending the game and by 28 minutes, DK called the GG after a brilliant Vacuum into Ravage combo making iG the victors of the match.
