Battle.net has just announced 2 of the 8 sites that will participate to the Sandlot Tournament, and also four of the 80 players who will take part in this event.
A few days ago, Battle.net has announced two of the eight teams that will participate to its Sandlot tournament : GosuGamers.net and Broodwar.de. Two new teams have just been revealed : we could expect it, TeamLiquid.net and SCLegacy.com are the two newcomers in the battle.
Here are the statements by Battle.net, describing the two new sites, and explaining why they have been invited :
SCLegacy.com has hosted the official Blizzard fansite database for several years now and also play host to the popular BlizzForums. StarCraft fans have also been enjoying their Pimpest Plays feature, video highlights of the most creative StarCraft moves, for years.
TeamLiquid.net regularly features English-language coverage of the Korean professional gaming scene. The website is home to one of the most active StarCraft forums on the Internet. Liquid'NazGul will be putting together the admin team to guide this community throughout the season.

We now know 4 out of 8 teams that will participate. You can expect most of the 4 remaining sites to be Korean guilds, personally I would bet on Uzoo, FiFo and maybe YGclan.
As Battle.net said, 80 (!) players will be invited to this event, and the first four names have just been revealed. Here they are :
- David "
Eduardo "ZeloTITO" Castello
Nick "Testie" Perentesis
Fredrik "FiSheYe" Keitel
No real surprise here, except maybe FiSheYe who has been inactive for a while, playing poker. But as for every important event like the WorldWide Invitational tournament, the German legend is ready to come back to the Broodwar scene to offer us a piece of his Protoss art !
Stay tuned on GosuGamers to learn about the next 4 teams to be announced, and the next 76 players ! Be sure that the GosuGamers team, lead by its captain Mazor, along with his two co-captains Salieri and Artanis will give the best to offer you the best coverage of this event !
