WEG Masters Postponed

[s]event_66[/s]

Five days before the opening of the, WEG Masters has been offically postponed. President, and CEO of the World e-Sport Games has announced that WEG Masters will not take place on April 9th, 2006 in Hangzhou, China.

Here's the offical statement from the big cheese himself. President, and CEO of World e-Sports Games:

"Dear participants, partners, and fans,

With great regret, we must announce the unforeseen postponement of the WEG2006 Masters, just five short days prior to the first official match.

WEG had successfully obtained a license to host the WEG Masters in Hangzhou, China, thanks in large part to broad support from the local metropolitan government. Members of our Korean and Chinese staff have been on the ground in Hangzhou for weeks, ensuring that the Masters would kick off without a hitch. Unfortunately, new developments related to our event licenses have forced us to postpone the WEG Masters until a later date, after which these emerging issues can be resolved. We stress that the postponement has not been caused by any issues with participating teams and players, media and broadcasting partners, the local Hangzhou metropolitan government, WEG sponsors, nor by the lack of preparedness on the part of WEG nor that by the previously mentioned parties. We are presently committing our full resources in order to resolve this unfortunate set of circumstances.

We deeply and sincerely appreciate the dedicated support and patience of our fans, players, and partners worldwide as we deal with these issues. We look forward to hosting a successful WEG Masters in the very near future.

Thank you.

Sincerely yours,
Paul Chong
CEO/President
World eSports Games, Inc."
