As all of you know, as fast as this old game may be aging, it is still as golden as ever, and our community is far from shrinking. The Broodwar community of some fellow Australian's are introducing to us yet another event, known as the A.S.E.A.N. League.

The A.S.E.A.N league has been developed to help strengthen and popularize StarCraft e-sport in South East Asian countries, including Australia and New Zealand, bringing with it, and every such future event, a dose of STIM into the international Brood War community.

The Nations. What exactly is the ASEAN League?

ASEAN Stands for Australia and South East Asian Leagues. Listed are the national teams that will be participating in this event.

Australia Australia, Malaysia Malaysia, Thailand Thailand, Vietnam Vietnam, Philippines Philippines
& New Zealand New Zealand.

The System. How does the tournament work?

This tournament works in a point format, wherein the higher the win/loss ratio is (favoring the wins of course), the more points the team will get. As most of you know, this is the same point system that we are familiar with in most Clan Leagues. All matches played will end in the best of 3.
*5-0 = 6 Points
*4-1 = 4 Points
*3-2 = 3 Points
*2-3 = 2 Points
*1-4 = 1 Point
*0-5 = 0 Points

The maps that will be used in this event are Luna the Final, which lately seems to have rivaled Lost Temple in popularity, and the other two, R-Point and Forte, which are rather less popular maps, but are being used to encourage the growth of the Starcraft scene yet again, and so that players will play some of the lesser played maps.
