Orange.Ohaiyo: "Alliance's tactics are quite unique and well executed"

GosuGamers.net caught up with Ohaiyo from Neolution Orange during the G-1 LAN finals. He talked to Eric 'ReiNNNNN' Khor about their performance in the tournament, and their opponents from the East and the West. The interview can be found in both text and video format. 

Hello Ohaiyo. Your team is now 2-1, and you guys just lost to Alliance. How are you feeling?

It's not too bad. We feel that we still have the chance to make top three

 

 

So Alliance flew here from Sweden bringing a lot of strats from the west. How do you think they are doing?

 

They play pretty good because there are a lot of aspects that we did not even think about. For example in their game against us, they rotated Chen to the top lane and disrupt me. Therefore, our top lane wasn't as good and that allowed their carry to get a lot of farm

 

In their first round against DK, they performed that level one Roshan stunt and you guys from the East don't really do that kind of stuff.  What other gimmick do you think they have left in their inventory?

 

That I'm not too sure. I still remember they had the Nature Prophet and let Roshan kill it but they were ready to go on the backlines. That is really good.

 

Assuming that you face them in the playoffs. What if they do something like that against you? How will you react?

 

We definitely won't allow that to happen.

 

iG has not been performing that well in this competition. What do you think of their recent form?

 

Their recent slump is mostly due to ban/pick. I still think they are very strong in a lot of aspects and I'm sure they will be back in no time.

 

This aspect you are talking about, what is their strong point and what do they need to work on?

 

Sometimes the hero they pick for example.. they don't really have big impacts on the laning phase. We put the trilane to go against their trilane using Leshrac and their laning phase just wasn't that impressive. It's easy to break their formation. Their teamfights and other aspects are pretty good

 

You just finished watching them play DK. What do you think they did well in that game?

 

Didn't see anything that impressive but this is them, all-rounder team. They are very good in picking off heroes and understanding what their opponents are doing.

 

I don't think anybody expected LGD to be so strong in this tournament and I'm sure you have scrimmed against them multiple times. Give us your thoughts on the current LGD team.

 

During our scrims, I think they didn't show anything out of the ordinary because they haven't found the proper setup for the team. Their performance in G-1 is excellent. Their position and the distribution of the players are pretty good and we are just at a time when they are very strong.

 

Do you think they are stronger with LongDD or DD?

 

I think both of them have their strong points. Maybe during LongDD's time with them, they couldn't find the proper setup and therefore, did not play so well.

 

You are matched up against DK next. Thoughts?

 

No real thoughts but we will do our best.
