Arcneon vs. Ex; Best of 17!!

[s]event[/s]

Before the biggest event in StarCraft history took place this November two gamers duked it out in a mega series of 17. One player, the Russian gamer, went to the World Cyber Games and advanced out of his group. The other, the Finnish gamer, was not able to participate in the World Cyber Games due to lack of Scandinavian interest.

All in all before the World Cyber Games Finland iG.Arcneon and Russia RoX.Ex[TmG] battled it out in a huge best of 17 series. Both players are very good and represent their nations very well.

Although iG.Arcneon has not placed or played in as many offline LAN events he can be considered one of Finland’s best players. Last year in the World Cyber Games he won his country, and advanced out of his group where he was defeated by Russia Androide. But this year he was not able to attend in Singapore because there was not WCG preliminary for Finland or any other Scandinavian country, but that is another story.

But, RoX.Ex[TmG] has participated and placed in many events. He won this year's Russian WCG, he placed first in ASUS Summer 2005, 3rd in the Replays.Net 32 Warrior Blood War, also he placed very well in Race Wars III; Trinity as he got 5th. In the World Cyber Games this year he advanced out of his group he than beat Mexico LG)BlasT but soon lost to China CNSTORM who placed 4th.

The two gamers only ended up played 15 games in all, but they were all decent games still. They played on 5 different maps where they did a best of 3 on each separate map.

iG.Arcneon comes out on top of the Russian man proving that the Russian bear can be stopped. With the final score of 9 wins to 6 loses, the Infernal Gamers team member can gain some bragging rights, if he so chooses.

All 15 replays have been gathered and complied and separated into one WinRar package for your viewing pleasures. Good luck and have fun with those replays.

On another note Infernal Gamers announced that another similar showmatch may be held between Ukraine Play.Enemy and Sweden iG.KaaZ. That would be something to look forward to this upcoming holiday season.
