I got a chance to sit down with the two Canadian StarCraft WCG Grand Final representatives, 
rS.Fayth[eGe] and Testie[pG], in a duel interview to find out their thoughts on the WCG thus far.

Anyways ok, first question is to Fayth!On the second day of the Canadian Finals, you did so well! Even defeating oG)Paul in an exhibition match 2-0! What happened in the finals?!

Well i got told me and Testie would win the same prize, so there was 0 pressure, and i seem to play better under pressure... anyway the finals was for fun, i don't think testie cared either

Haha, so if you were to play against Testie under pressure, say at the Grand Finals, how do you think you'll do?

i think it could go either way

So Testie, what do you think?
Testie[pG]-
In a best of 27 fayth would always lose. In a best of 3, he will lose most of the time. And if he plays me in WCG, he may be up against a cripple, but he will be up against a cripple who truly understands Broodwar at the deepest levels of the game and will rue the day he was born because I will mangle him so badly.

Veg. No question. He's better than the rest and he's my number 1 tour guide. He is the king of all tourists, and everyone who is travelling needs someone like Veg with them to spice up the trip.

Testie, everyone else was quite easy imo, i didn't get to play zergraptor or vasmos, which i would have liked to with their thousands of games practice

My hardest opponent was myself. After the first day I had thought about my hands hurting, the little practice I did (considering I play all races and having to even find which race I want to play on the maps takes a while). Other players come and go, and are just obstacles. My biggest opponent is always myself. Unless Mondragon is in the tournament. Then he is my biggest opponent.

Luckily, when Janice showed up I seriously started to play a bit better / less sloppy. I still had a few bad games from that point on, but I called her before the finals vs fayth and I played better there than previously in the tourney.

You know the ones where the little kid has a big play, or a playoff game in little league baseball, and they are looking for their parents in the stands? How much did you guys practise?

I practiced a week, or 9-10 days before the event. A few hours a day figuring out what races and matchups I felt most comfortable with. And decided for the most part i'd just random in most scenarios.

Not much, here and then whenever i had time, i took the day before wcg off to practice a bit, apart from that, maybe 5-10 games a week

Well, did you two ever think that it would be the both of you in the finals fighting each other?
rS.Fayth[eGe]-
Well from the start they were supposed to make it Single Elimination at first round, until there was 8 players left, when we heard it was me against testie, i told the officials that we were the 2 best players and there was no way we were playing in a single elimination match, but i thought from the start i'd make it top 2 along with nick

they changed it to double elimination after i complained 3-4 times
Testie[pG]-
It's a good thing he complained! I'd of been out like Froz. (Who lost to an inferior opponent).
I figured it would be a combination of me / Fayth. Me / Veg. Fayth / Veg. Maybe a wild card due to the lesser talented players who mass practiced. Or simply due to Pride's own respectable skill. But I was pocket aces (AA). Veg was KK. And Fayth was AK suited in this tournament.

I will. I've played so many koreans and know that in order to even compete with them.. (I would not be happy with some lucky win. If I didn't practice for this event and won it would probably be due to luck)
