GG22BB Finals on Saturday

The GosuGamers 2on2 Beta Battle is coming to an end. The final tournament will be held during the coming weekend. The two teams finishing first in each group are invited to play in a single elimination tournament where only one team can be crowned GG22BB champions.

The event was created just as a test for the GosuGamers event team. To gain experience, test some things out and prepare for future events. It has been a good time for us, as we have learnt a lot about what works, what don’t, what’s appreciated and so on. I am sure the future will bring some high quality events.

As I ( zoxxer) and GioM entered the event with very high expectations we got kind of surprised that the first group still didn’t have any matches played after their first play day. Although, the players did a good job managing to finish it up afterwards. Group two and three worked much better but group four didn’t really work out either, but it should be alright until the tournament starts.

Below is a table with the matches that will be played on Saturday and it starts at 19:00 CET. The grand final is scheduled to be held on the Sunday. It is a single elimination tournament with best out of 3 matches until the grand final, which will be best out of 5. The map list will be used for each round. In the first game Guillotine will be used. As second map we will see Gaema Gowon. Third is Namja Iyagi. In the final the loser picks map from the original GG22BB map pool.

The group winners and runner up's are shown below. As Group number three is not fully played yet (one match missing), the order might change. In group four one more match needs to be played as well.
