I've recently came across only 6.72f dota replays on 1.24 patch. Why so, have I missed something??

Afaik it's because the Chinese plays on pirated wc3 and can't log onto b.net to update.

I thought it was some tournament-related rules which I've missed to review. Oh well, switching between patches is quite annoying :/

Smeagol-
Because Chinese still use 1.24 patch. Btw, is there a difference or improvement in gameplay, hero abilities, etc. if you use 1.26?

Explained 10 000 times, but still....

Anyways, professional dota lives in China. Therefore, they are playing on platform (forgot the name V-something I think) which automatically transfers you to 1.24b, no matter what patch do you have. Of course they have new patches, but that platform just does it's job, you can't play there with new patch.
