actually, now that we are on the topic - i've always been wondering why or how Valve is allowed to implement these sound on DotA2? i mean they've always seem concious about not breaking or violating copyrights especially looking at what they have done to some of the D2 heroes appearence - does any1 have an answer to this?

because Unreal is dead and don't care, streak sounds were used in Quake and cs before dota existed.
