Pushing Strategi (??) (3783 reads, 25 replies, 4 months ago)
I need help from all of u gosugamers members.

Last night my team got raped in 1 pushing strategi. Im just get annoyed with their playstyle..

the hero is: Beast, Drow, Vengeful spirit, Furion, Wicth Doctor. they go for Roshan at Level 1. Then all of them stick at mid lane. After that they push mid till the end of the game with WD's heal & meka as their survivability..

I need ur oppinion on how to counter this line-up and their strategi. Please & thank you very much.

dont let them rosh at level 1...

you can then def mid with 3, max 4 heroes, and have 1/2 heroes farm and push the side lanes (like sylla, ursa,...)

their mid laners should level enormously slow, and after around 10 minutes your sidelaners should be able to either push in the side lanes, so they have to defend, or come in, crush them in a teamfight and push mid...

key point is: DONT LET THEM ROSH AT LVL 1...if they achieve it they start off with bonus gold, exp and aegis, if they dont they have 5 lvl 1 heroes in mid that wont be able to do much...

Be smart enough to guess when people are gonna Roshan lvl 1. If they fail roshan, they fail period. So many times my friends and I checked Roshan early and opponent team failed the Roshan kill. All 5 leave haha - lameassbitches

If you have a slight doubt about their strategy and you know that its possible for them to kill Roshan at lvl1 with their line-up you could try picking Clockerwk. CW's rocket can give you the vision anywhere on the map, so you can check Roshan without actually going there.

Check http://gosugamers.net/dota/thread/903933-insane-roshan-lineup. That thread might be useful in ponting out different picks that can be used for killing Roshan early.

if they managed to kill roshan (which implies you failed preventing them - honestly, whenever you see a line up which looks like rosh go ward and kil...) they have a level and gold advantage - which makes it hard to fend them off...

put long range aoe heroes (like #1 said - kotl, wr, es...) or, in general, heroes which can deal with creep waves fast in mid - but still have one farm up the side lane...again, awesome is a strong pusher like syllabear...if you have one on the side lane and you manage to hinder their mid push, they'll have to decide...
a) continue their slow mid push, which means your solo is able to push down to lvl 3 tier by minute 10, which is their latest chance to fall back and defend
b) stop their push and split into regular lanes, on which you still have a disadvantage due to their lvl advantage, but if your individual skill is good you'll be able to get this like no problem
c) start ganking your solo, which leaves time for your middle heroes to farm and lvl

but concerning your lineup, how did you plan on doing this anyway? all of them need lvls, none is able to farm woods...i guess krob mid, weaver solo long lane, and slardar with tide on short lane - but where is tauren chieftain going...? dont quite get what you were trying to do...

but with this lineup obviously you stood no chance against a push strat - krob and weaver are the only ones capable to hold of a push efficiently, which is nowhere enough...your only chance was winning them when they were trying to rosh which would have made them quite incapable of using their strat...it wasn't so hard to detect by the way (hello cpt hindsight) - mass auras, aoe heal and furion treants to tank up...if you see something like this, and you have a lineup like this, you should definitely check rosh before creep spawn :)

Go with Lina / Sven as they have good AoE stuns on lvl 1 and kill them before they roshan. Than def mid with AoE dmger.

Happend to me with different line-up. They succeeded with roshan but i got double kill with lina and poped aegis from lycan. After respawn (like 1 second) bought and tped mid. Killed lycan again and easilly defended mid form that point (you are farmed by that time) solo.... we won the game like np.

stop pick shitheroes, loosing to a Drow/beast/VS/Furion/WD push-line up is terrible.

Play some more and get more used to play the competative heroes more.

AA, GET AA, AND YOU PRETTY MUCH NEGATED IT.

ES, DK, SK, WR, Venomancer etc also

All AoE heroes, that can slow down a push that get's HUGE from the farm they get from the constant pushing.

Uh oh, two carrions of Krob could've wiped out a whole wave of creeps right? You didn't maximise it?

8# thanks dude :) im gonna try it..

11# its my fren using krob, he was level 5,, how its gonna work when carrions is only level 3 with silent learned by 2 levels? i can say my teammates is lack of experience & duno wat to do with the heroes or in a battle. I need to be more independent playing with them. *sigh*

but how if i try this line-up: krob, es, weaver, windrunner, sven/dark seer.. worthy or worse ?

#10 obviously talking shit from his ass.

First of all, if you couldnt tell from the opponent's lineup that they're going to lvl1 Rosh+5 man push, you're obviously not going to be picking 5 aoe heroes, BECAUSE YOU DIDNT KNOW ABOUT IT IN THE FIRST PLACE <-- this goes for OP as well...

Since you didnt know, you shouldnt be asking what heroes to pick. lvl 1 Rosh+5man push only works when your opponent has no idea that you're going to do it. If your opponent does, either your Rosh attempt is fucked or they pick heroes to counter you. What you should be asking is what do I do in these situations.

Must get = meka. Buy basilius/vlads. Make the exact same items as a pushing team would make. The lineup you went up against doesnt have any real creep clearing skills, so making +armor aura items is good. Pipe is obviously dumb because they have no aoe magic

BTW #10, AA is fucking useless against lvl1Rosh+5man push. After Rosh and probably 2 creep waves/1 if opponents are smart, they're all lvl 3 but you and your friends are stuck at 1~2. If you choose to level up at lane before attempting to stop their push, you'll probably have gotten to lvl 3~4(wd+furion = straight push from first creep wave). WTF is AA going to do at that level? Lvl 2 Cold Feet!! TAKE THAT DROW!!!!

You may try that new line up of yours too. And try to experiment with what's better for your inexperienced teammates.

#7 no one would ever even consider to go roshan with clock in die opposing team

They push all 5 Mid ? lol....
Even if they are lvl 2,5 and our onw. 3 heros can usually hold this of long enough (before they knock on your Tier 3door). then your 2 sidelaners have enough lvls and farm to wipe their whole team in 2 seconds.

pick some nuker, i remember we also fought this kind of line up(push rush), but capt picked tiny, potm, es so we managed to def our 3rd tower and when they lose 1 clash,we gained a huge advantage. so yeah, some good NUKERS with fuck them up, and as you can see they are all paper except for bm, just aim for the healer. just be sure team will be consistent.

Y strategi indeed.

On a more serious note , i am surprised that none of you mentioned broodmother. Are they going to push? Np i ll lane my brood at sidelane and get their tier 1 and tier 2 towers in the first 6 mins or something. And get some nukers/wave killer heroes to def towers. good luck
