I think there is a bug on latest map. I've been playing Tiny in DotA 1 lately and I noticed it too. In the older versions of DotA, some heroes tossed won't fly up while others are really being tossed. However, in the new 6.73c, this bug is happening to most heroes or even creeps. The tossed unit nowadays don't fly like the usual.
In a clash, it is not who is right, it is who is left.
