hello everyone.. i want to ask too questions plz... 1 is what is metagame ? [last nite i was playing league game(got banned after the game) and i picked sf morph and shaker and everyone started shouting metagame has changed.. i told them i havnt downloaded metagame so i dnt knw if it has changed or not .. i only play dotagame..not even wc3].. plz tell me how is metagame and dota related... my 2 question is who is this player "cum with me" and what is he famous for ?

Ok man. In short:

Metagame is like magic word in Dota. Usually refering to common strategies and picks in certain point of time. It is basically summary of pro player strategies and overall games together with their experience and habits. Together it creates trend that many follow be it in hero picks or overall strategy plan. It doesn't necessary means it's the best way to play, but it is often tought in the community until it shifts again.

CMW or as other may refer ComeWithMe is Romanian pro player that plays the game for fairly long time in euro-pro scene.

Most pinoys are ignorant of the metagame, even mineski who picks fcking lord of avernus.. They are professional yet do not have any idea what a metagame is, or maybe ignorant of other regional metagames, and that's why their drafting is suboptimal. ComeWithMe is a Romanian Professional tryhard to show off player who was a former player of OK. Nirvana under fear, now he is the captain of dignitas, who is also trying hard.

Okay, then tell me why they still use heroes that were trending from a long time ago: Shadowfiend in 6.60+, earthshaker potm combo, the use of trilanes?, I mean these strategies are not up to date, and they are clearly confused. The smoke ganks counter sf, yet they still pick it and get pwned. Sometimes we see a ck aa dual mid vs a squishy solo like sf yet they still pick it, worse part is nobody backs up the sf mid because there is a trilane bot because the carry was melee and couldnt handle the dual lane. Mski. RhoM can be much more influential, but he chooses not to be and lets these guys play what they feel like playing rather than encouraging smart drafting. It's about making sense, not nonsense. I know about these "pustahan picks" and they almost seem no different from what mineski(considered professional) drafts. Don't be too defensive, I only said that they are ignorant, not dumb, there is a difference. They are talented and good( winning 1st place tgx and 3rd SMM), but they need to improve their drafting.

^ I think Mineski picked SF for a final roll of the dice even though they knew he was not good in this metagame. I don't think Mineski is so ignorant as to not even know SF is bad because of Smoke. It's similar to how Scythe picked SF in Losers' Bracket game 3 against EHOME at the International. They knew they were worse than the Chinese team, but if they beat the Chinese team, they would get twice the prestige for using heroes not in favour in this metagame. If they lost, they could blame it on poor picks rather than inferior skills in-game, so it's not as bad as you might think.

I am aware that he is trolling, but my point is most pinoys are like him, not really trolls but people who are isolated from the rest of the world. @ ctchocula the time gap between the international and SMM is about 5 months? So meaning scythe still thought sf was viable since the metagame was only shifting, plus dota2 has a different metagame with the limited hero pool. Saying that mineski has not realized this after 5 months is ridiculous, Sf got no buffs just until recently. And this is loser's bracket finals were talking about, so is this a go big or go home situation? If they had played smarter, maybe they would have had a chance with nirvana.cn. Rolling the dice is just too much of a risk. And @18, I did say they were good right? They are professionals and talented, so where did you get the idea that I was better than mineski? I could argue that I am more aware of the metagame and more enlightened as well, but Playing better is a different story
