2 Strength And NecroBooks (2665 reads, 18 replies, 4 months ago)
Well we have been seeing a lot of these two strategies in the current metagame.... i want you guys to share your opinions on these two topics.....

1. whats the point in using 2 or 3 strength heroes apart from tanking the spells and no need of babysitting in lane.....

2.How to counter necrobooks apart from blademail...any specific hero like doom who can devour necrominicon...????

1. They contribute to the team more with the ability to initiate, and heroes like DK can push very early and fast.

1. Aside from those two reasons of yours, why do you need more? Easier to last-hit maybe? Since most of strength heroes are melees. Also, it takes them a shorter time to be viable in clashes compared to agility heroes which must wait till late game to be strong.

2. Just don't bother hitting them. For me, necrobooks are not OP. It costs a lot of gold for 2 demons with mana burn and true sight.

2. Medusa is the natural counter to necrobook. Tanky and ulti deals 500, 1000, 1500 damage to summons each level of ulti.

OD can counter them. But lvl3 Warrior deals so much damage when he dies.

1 Strength are taken as they scale very fast to mid game and even have a decent late game. A level 11 SG/ DK is so tanky that he can survive most team fights. Meanwhile a level 11 Mage/ Spec is still paper and goes down easily. As teams prioritize mid game pushes Strength heroes are preferred. However many good heroes (Alch, Sven) are overlooked due to lack of mobility.

2 Necrobook counters - CM, Lion, Balanar, Visage remnants. Basically any disabler or slower. Or a hero that does high damage. Or buy diffusal and get free 200g every time. Necrobook is horrible late game and a waste if the enemy gets level 3 after 25 mins. However if you're a paper hero don't even think about killing the blue necro.

tbh only necro3 ranks on the scared-of list...its prerequisites arent powerful at all...
my advice : ignore the necro summons. they only hurt early-mid game. late game theyre basically a megacreep

The summons aren't problem because of the damage, but because both of them have mana burn, so your key heroes to the counter push are usually out of mana. In this version, they changed the cast range of the Mana burn from Necro archer, which is great buff.

Heroes like Shaker, Panda, Leviathan don't have much mana to begin with, and when you send those summons on them, they are close to useless.
And something that burns 75 mana per hit, is also pretty powerful in late game...

A tank in Dota is much like a tank with a turret. It allows you to run head in without dying to disable / kill low survivability supports and carries, but it fails when the terrain does not allow for it (ie. at rax).

With the great buff for her ulti sure Dusa will get back to the scene.
