amazing quelling blade not on roshan.
...
I don't even...
ahh, whatever.
The title might be hard to understand, but the matter isn't actually ever solved by a solid proof like say, a real chart on the damage with and without QB to rosh, at least I never saw any. If one can show me, then don't hesitate on doing so. I can't try it myself since I don't have dota client on my PC for about a year already.
AFAIK QB objectively only check the target's unit type, not the armor type (mechanical, ward, summoned, etc), unit-control-status (which some say roshan is using the 13th slot), or anything else to trigger the extra damage before reduction, so I believe what really matters is only the 'unit type', which can be found on google. But again, I might be wrong, haven't dive that deep into the code mechanic of QB, or w3 in general.
Some said rosh isn't affected, since his unit type (the type that was set on the editor) is ancient (just like courier and spirit bear) and no, unit's type doesn't have anything to do with the unit's attack property (some argue that if roshan could disable dagger and heart means he is a hero, hence didn't get affected by QB).
I can't find hero's unit type (not armor type) was it also ancient?
*valid link is needed here*
If yes then QB won't work on any ancients (including ancient creeps who have the same parameter for unit type) and the comment shouldn't be written as 'hero', but 'ancient'. But I think it works with ancient creep right? some people argue that they are just creep with special skills. No, their type is also ancient.
Wait, what about attribute? are they the same? I remember the version when a spirit bear could just sit the entire duration of cyclone. Was it simply changed by the attribute or the parameter for unit type is recoded to ancient?
Some also said that roshan is affected simply because he isn't a hero, which is IMHO logical. And players often forgets QB's orb effect priority to get it mixed up with roshan's status. Some makes argument based on older version which have a bug on related item, is it still valid now? Or was it simply because of the stacking calculation (like the case of over 100% cleave)
TL;DR someone could just test it (remember, without any orbs involved) and compare the damage inflicted with and without a single QB. It helps by using a hero who have very thin max-min damage range or even better, without any buff involved at all.
That... Takes longer than I thought it would... |
