They pick them because they fit what their strategy is going into the game, and they pick them because it counters whatever their opponents have picked.

Because agi heroes require a lot of farm and therefore the game must be stretched until lategame before they can become strong heroes.

Strength heroes, on the other hand, have high hp and some has viable skills that make them important in teamfights. More hp= less need for babysitting = more opportunities for supports to gank.

They can be effective without as much farm.

And they look buff.

Imo top china teams can still, if opponent lets say starts banning strs and new additions to cm pool, pick syllabear with good protection from team m8s farm 20 mins then push the hell out of enemy, just is. Thing is with str trend that most of the teams will learn fast how to counter it, or defend themselves cuz same was in 6.72f, yea we all pick ench and chen... then sum1(DK) just says screw you we know better, picks again epic carry and wins. Imo strs are not that 1337 or OP, metagame will addopt them but wont move towards them as cores imo as there werent nerfs to former OPs.

Because agi and int heroes are too mainstream, then they are picking strenght heroes before its cool. It's all about being hipster.

i love how when a new topic comes up the first 10 answeres are OT (with like half of them trolling and a few being non-sense) and everything further is just about having fun with what the others have said before ;D

OT :
a lot has been said already
- most str have been buffed in the recent updates
- most of them have a much stronger earlygame than the usual agi carries
- even with low farm they can still affect a teamfight
- some of them have good counterspells to recent key heroes
- they are strong and make funny noises
- they dont need above 30 min before they become unstoppable with their farm (think of it, most games are decided at this point in the current metagame )

#10 wins this thread, hands down.

#18 pretty much sums up the reasons. Also read my first post in the thread

Cause strength heroes have huge muscles and abs???

the truth is they are good mid gamers and like #2 was saying agi heroes need a lot of farm to win.
Lalalalalalalalalala....
