6.73 A HUGE VIRUS?! (2003 reads, 13 replies, 5 months ago)
Just one hour ago, I installed WC3 into my laptop and then downloaded the 6.73 map. As soon as I entered B.net, there were no games created by bots which had this version, only games which were being created in 6.72f. So I go back to getdota.com and try to download the .72f version, but then it wouldn't let me. I join a person-made game and downloaded the map like the ancient ways, and while I was downloading, someone kept on spamming "DELETE 6.73 IT'LL MAKE YOU D/C!" or something along the lines, so I listened to him. I deleted the map whilst in the chatroom before a match, and once the match started, I disconnected. WTF right? But then I joined another match, hoping it would be different but then some of the players said the same thing. I brushed it aside, and the game started with no d/c's in the beginning. After the game ended, I besided to take a break and get off WC3, and now, as I'm trying to enter Londoraen again, WC3 frozen throne takes me to RoC main menu. I think this is due to the 6.73 map. Am I mistaken? Should I reinstall? What the hell happened to the map?
OR...... Is this Blizzard's doing?!?! I know I'm not the only one who experienced this... Please, help a fellow DotA brother out.
