A year ago..i always see comments of Puppey is GENIUS...which i strongly disagree. For me he is a frog rather than a genius as he like to hop

no idea

i havent seen puppey play at his peak before, but right now tbh he plays like an average player

not quite sure but i think puppey created a few crazy strats no one ever thought about and hes good at picking?

years ago, ppy was the best drafter there is. people acknowledge that and assumed he was the best player. best drafter , yes. best captain, maybe. but best player, hell no.

now he's just like all other euro players. good but not godlike.

There was a argument between Kuroky and another member on the MYM forum,about the money issue, and to be honest I believe in his side of the story, rather then myths. That would probably be true for Puppey too.

how can you judge if hes a good captain/drafter etc if you haven't played with him in his team, or sat in the vent listening to what all 5 players in the team decided in the games....

People don't know what they're talking about and base their opinions on vague images that build up within the community that form conventional wisdom. That people don't talk about him anymore has nothing to do with his skill or drafting ability, but rather it reflects the lack of recent EU glory.

Quite frankly there are very few posters on GG.net that have enough knowledge to comment on such things.

Also why are there so many arrogant Chinese these days? 99% of them are probably just expats or immigrant Chinese that would've tagged themselves as US or UK or whatever, before this era of Chinese dominance.

He had made many strats work in Ks.Int. And against stronger teams he picked normally and owned them. Even in Nirvana I still remember him picking enchantres/TC vs SGC etc...

To answer exactly the question, its coz he was the captain of a team that hadnt lost a single game in 3 months!(ks int). Nowdays he hasnt been playing for 1 team long enough for ppl to notice again. He was first toying a bit with EG then Nirvana/Russians and now I hope its time to settle with NWO.

Imo he did enough for dota community to award him that title of GENIUS in the past by doing great drafts + playing great.

what is so unclear. Players have been going through good and bad phases throughout their dota career. Actually anyone whos played for more than 2 years goes through them. Pros and pubs. Sometimes you give a damn and play at your best sometimes you dont feel like.
