In PH support is the most unlikely role here, every one wants to be KOBE and play carry...
I guess now adays PH dota rooms are full of immature people and thus game level is not that high as before but you cannot blame them dota is a game and others dont take it to seriously unlike in other countries you can be get paid in playing dota in PH you are going to pay in internet cafe just to play dota.
yeah in Pub games, they all want to become beyond Godlike, because if they can do it they will call themselves strong not realizing if there is no good support how can you become Godlike for the lulz....
and I agree also that only few people take it seriously, because there is no government support for e-sport (speaking of Korea including starcraft in their school curriculum), no sponsorship and mediocre tournament prizes...LAN tourneys around 15-20k for the champions, that is only 300-400 dollars for a two-day tournament....
and I blame it also for the fact that in PH ISP is so slow and too pricey compared to other countries (mind the ISP in singapore and japan lol) 50mbps of speed compared to 2mbps of speed here in PH just for the same price? ISP wise PH is lagging in technology all of these because of that $329 million ZTE scandal, but if that push through we might have better ISP connection by now.... |
