#20 LOL, fact. I just thought of it to be another WR/PotM and when I had my hands on her in cm... damn, man.

#11 Why don't you broaden your reasoning a little bit? You haven't explained why some heroes "suck a lot", etc.

The Wisp is especially sick about the 4 heroes, I love him. Props to the Frog for being so innovative in the last versions, that brings new life to DotA, imo.

heres an idea...

u can play your repetitious old school heros (venge)
while people like me enjoy playing more complicated heros (wisp)

btw saying heros suck a lot is very ignorant and closed minded, there were a lot of heros that "sucked" and were never picked in competitive gaming and all of a sudden (with no buffs at all) they became a top pick (trax, slardar, abaddon, witch doctor, etc). only reason people say they suck is because they havent seen that hero's true potential

Give the new heroes some time. Once experienced players find out how to play them effective, new players will adapt very fast.

Although I agree to some point that some of the newer heroes are kinda lame. I haven't played the newest ones yet, but I do think that AA(he is just weird and overpowered with his buffs and debuffs, his skills are more of a nuisance for the other team than a help for his own team) and Slark(kills units in 3/4 hits and his skills are way too cheap manawise, if he uses all skills lategame, he loses only 235 mana) are just lame, and add nothing new to the game.

Simple heroes can be great, but who honestly enjoys playing Leoric or 1/3 of the Agility taverns.

The most entertaining heroes to watch or to play will always be STR or INT casters for me.

the frog wants more support/ganker heroes = wisp/gyro vs lion cm venge wd etc
a new solo mid laner = far seer vs our old fave sf/tinker/doom etc.
a new babysitter/harasser = shadow demon vs warlock dazzle cm lion es etc

i also think that these heroes have a lot of potential in the future. Some minor adjustments will make them top tier heroes that can be added in the normal heo picks for cm

but seriously...

once they are integrated with the normal cm mode, i think that ganking will be more complex for the enemy team if your team has wisp around(instant backup).

OUCH!

#5: How can you compare DotA and WC3 melee? For one, WC3 melee does not only revolve around a one particular hero that you are controlling whereas in the case of DotA its a whole new different story.

Don't see any logic in your argument at all.

The new heroes do improve the DotA scene a lot and both them and the old heroes are important because this kind of improvement generates more and more possible combos and playstyles. Indeed they are very teamfight and gank orientated so in a few weeks will be able to see all 6 of them being played at a competitive level as well as the other heroes who have experienced modifications.
And sure there has to be a period of adaptation. Whoever says we should stick only to the old heroes maybe take a look back at the older versions and then talk.
@#11 Relax u will get to see Ethereal blade getting used...its just a bit complex item since it has many usages (escape mechanism, nuke, high agi gain, ghost scepter upgrade, etc.) and just like any other items it can sometimes be game-breaking.

no heroes suck..why would ice put them in the game if they suck..

i also love the innovations today on dota.
for example..

Wisp is the most unique hero on the pool imo.
it can change how the game is played.
it can let new strat to be formed.

so saying heroes suck because u don't understand them is just so childish imo.
just don't play them!!

complicated skills is already conceptualized to give the uniqueness to that hero.
i pretty sure u don't want 5 heroes that have storm bolt for there first skill etc.

LOL

You guys don't get my point.

I'm not saying AA sucks because it's weak, I'm not talking about the strenght of those heroes, I'm saying they suck because they make no fucking sense.

Let me explain again.

When ES hits you, when Tinker uses rocket, when puck uses ulti, it's very obvious what's happening on the map. Some heroes might have skills a little bit less obvious but you still get the point of what is happening.

With AA, Murlock, new heroes, the Spells MAKE NO SENSE AT ALL. Even the description requires 12 lines. When you play against them, you just look at a spell hitting you and you don't really get what you could have done to dodge it.

Example: AA Spell, you have to run from it or you're being caged. No cooldown, no mana cost, basically it's a spell that makes you run from a place to an other every 5 seconds. What's the point of that ?

Other Example: Sand King, Perfectly balanced heroes, the spells are technical, require skills and timing (when to impale, use cloud to disappear, blink out, ulti, blink in).

The hero doesnt need a dictionnary to master, just practice.

If you dont get my point you're too much into dota and dont see how stupid it has become lately...

Kids, wait a month and then say this version suck. This is probably the best version, since Clockwerk was made. In time you will see a whole new way of playing dota, and if you don't like that, you can always start your own community with the title "v6.48 ONLY!"

Phntm-
I see a dawn of ganking when I played this version with my friends! average 4 kills a minute! When we had our boots and some HP and MP Regen, we started sticking together, and ganked our way to the end! I'd say that 2 years ago, a clash was just like a simple AoE Chan stun battle. But now, it required a lot more complex actions to be done that's really rewarding when you do it right and watch your opponent cringe in despair. I like this new change as it allows more competitiveness to the game.
