I am a big fan of Vigoss, I've watched his replays from 49b to 64b, and I have noticed that he gets Midas for PotM.

Here in our place I am the only PotM who gets Midas, and players here address me as a noob PotM, something like "why midas?, I'll get linken instead and farm all the way to GG!..."

I get Midas and BoT along with bird&bottle and 2x wraiths below 21mins, because in my opinion, semi carry/ganker PotM > fullcarry PotM

i wanna know your opinions about this guys, tnx!

Because Vigoss is imba.

Rushing Manta is better IMO. When used right it can be used as a spell block also, so the only thing Linken has on Manta is regen. Plus with Manta you have stronger push power and even killing power which will make you farm faster. So that makes it way better than Midas.

#1 have its point, even against chen they dont use midas, midas is useless imo..

Hand of midas is old school and not really useful in recent versions on Mirana. It takes you about 16 mins to recover the money you used up to buy it; if you use it well, it will make you rich, fast.

Tip: The higher the mana pool of the creep being converted into gold, the higher the gold received. I think the blue ogre in forests gives the highest payback.

midas recipe shuold cast 900 n cooldown shold reduce of transmute even then u wont see much of it

Ok ill naswer you.
The game tempo is a lot faster now.
Meaning back then the farmers used to goet 100 cs in around 27-30 min. The carry could do this in less if he was not to be ganked, depends on the carry also.

Nowdays the 100 cs mark is being broken at 17-18 minutes in most of the games from insane farmers like loda, misery, china pros...

So in the old days midas was more viable item especially on semi carry heroes like potm who needed to gank first an then use the creeps after so midas used to be very nice in this part and not to mention the IAS 30%

Now if u go midas its most likely ill meet up with lothared SF or yasha plus something on other semi carry shit hero. U see it is still good item but not that good like it used to be. Now even with midas u will not be able to out CS the main carry hero of u try to balance ur role between gank and farm like vigoss used to do.
He used the midas to catch up with the famrers back than and it worked.
Those times the heroes were going BoT and Dagger always and midas was some sort of luxury if u menage to farm great at starting 10 min. Nowdays BoT is so rare and Dagger is usually 2nd item they get...No midas at all since u can farm ur ass off same w/o it. So no need for it. The only thing now ull get from it is the 30% IAS and for 1900 $ u do ur math does it pays off. IMO it does not,

Opinion, Agree on the buy maybe even lower the cost, or increase the gold it gives, maybe increase the bounty per kill if u have midass on you.

Its sick to watch how farmers make gold from creeps and how useless gankers are cos no matter what they do farmers will always have the advantage by stacking CS with those creeps. Thats why u see now not one but 3 fat farmers per game.

Midas is not good as it is right now, IceFrog should make it cheaper(1300/1400gold) imo.

With the same gold Midas costs, you almost get a Yasha or an Ultimate Orb for your Manta. I agree with what illidannn said: it just doesn't pay off as much as it used to, back in the day. It needs a buff to be usable again.
