When facing a Terran that instantly lift off his main and places it on High yeild minerals, what to do? My friend, Glaive, has faced it a couple of times on Kulas Ravine and Metalopolis. It seems a 2-Gateway rush cant stop it, and when it fails he has such a big advantage of those minerals. I had the idea of dual scouting and placing a pylon on the Highyeild spot right away, but feel free to comment upon your thought on this subject.

Regards, PhoboS.

We should run some CGs and find a counter.

I've tried 2 gate rushing and fast expanding as protoss, both failed horribly to masses of marines and marauders.

As terran I've tried early MM pushes but he'll hold it off and then outproduce you.

Have yet to face it as Zerg.

The way it is now is just ridiculous, it takes him roughly 45 seconds to float it over to the high yield and start mining. At that point I'm at 9 workers while he's still at six. But since his are working at a 1.5x capacity he's still mining as fast as me with just his starting workers. 2 minutes into the game he has caught up in resources and then it's just downhill from there.

Sure you could probably counter it by scouting the high yields with a starting worker and proxying, but it just doesn't make sense to have to waste resources looking out for your opponent LIFTING OFF HIS DAMN COMMAND CENTER.

Phobos, CGs when I get home. We are finding a counter to this shit tonight.

its a really bad strat when somebody does this they are obviously going mass marines, cuz if they dont they will get rushed easily, so just go eco mode and defend vs the marine push that will 100% come and then its ez
